Assistant Golf Professional-The Golf Club at Yankee Trace
The City of Centerville is now hiring for a year-round, full-time position of Assistant Golf Professional with The Golf Club at Yankee Trace in the Golf Division. The Golf Club at Yankee Trace is a championship 27-hole resort-style golf course that includes a full-service restaurant and high-end banquet facilities. We seek energetic and hardworking people who can assist us in delivering exemplary customer service to our guests. Averages 20 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works in Golf Shop assisting customers, collecting greens and cart fees; sells and stocks golf supplies.
- Stocks merchandise, builds and changes displays, and ensures inventory is received and priced efficiently, timely, and accurately.
- Assist Head Golf Professional, First Assistant Golf Professional, Second Assistant Golf Professional, and Third Assistant Golf Professional in operating leagues, tournaments, and outings and maintaining the handicap system.
- Supervises operation of golf cart fleet, ensuring carts are available for customers.
- Give golf lessons.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license.
- Experience in golf and golf instruction.
- Knowledge of and experience in retail operations.
- Interest in obtaining PGA certification.
